Horsing Around in Autumn

It is FINALLY starting to feel like fall around here! Growing up one of my favorite things to do in the cooler weather was to go on trail rides with my sister. It is the absolute best way to view all the fall foliage. My sister's new horse isn't quite ready for the trails yet, but being out with him on a beautiful fall day reminding me of so many great memories.

Happy Birthday Lilly Pulitzer!

Lilly Pulitzer is one of my all-time favorite brands! I can not get enough of the bright colors and fun prints. It is a brand I started wearing when I was about fourteen and feel that I can continue to wear for the rest of my life.
I always feel really confident and happy wearing a Lilly piece. It is a brand that focuses on confidence and class. Two things I try to encompass.
Did you know the whole brand started because of a juice stand? Lilly Pulitzer opened a stand in Palm Beach and she would always get juice stains on her clothes. So, she designed shift dresses with colorful, bright prints to "camouflage" the stains. People loved the dresses, so she began selling them at the juice stand! And the brand was born.

Today is Lilly Pulitzer's birthday. I wanted to celebrate the occasion by sharing with you, some of my favorite Lilly looks!

Sarasota Tunic in Pink Paradise Rule Breakers-

Forsyth Maxi Dress in Limeade Roar of the Jungle-

Lauren Top in More Kini in the Keys, Pink Pout-

You got to love the Lilly accessories, too!

Election Day

Today is the day. It was a long, long road to get here, but alas Election Day has arrived. The campaign has been unlike any other I have seen. That is why it is so important that you go out and vote today. It is so important that your voice is heard. I believe voting is one of the great privileges we have in this country that is often taken for granted. Don't take your right for granted. Stand up for what you believe in. Make the change happen. Get involved. It can be intimidating nowadays to put yourself out there when there seems to be a political Facebook fight happening everytime I log on. I, personally, do not like to put my political beliefs out there on social media. I don't really share who I'm voting for with anyone. But, just because I don't have a new status about the candidate I'm backing posted every two minutes, doesn't necessarily mean I don't care or have an opinion. I like to do my own research and come to my own decision of who I think will do the best job. I encourage you to do the same and vote the candidate that YOU think will best serve this wonderful country.
May the best candidate win!

Voting rant aside- I love, love, love getting into a theme. So I could not go to vote without dressing patriotic. I wore this red and navy striped shirt from Target with a pair of Old Navy skinny jeans and a pair of Coach loafers. I also painted my nails using Essie's "E-NUF is E-NUF" which is a really pretty, bright red. I even put a red, white, and blue ribbon on Kingston!

Out and About: Farmer's Market

On Saturday, I just wondered around and shopped in Charleston, SC. It is truly one of my favorite things to do. The weather was perfect for being outside and walking around. Also, the farmer's market was set up in Marion Square! I really enjoyed looking at the various vendors selling everything from fresh fruit and vegetable to handmade jewelry to local art. If you are in the area and are able to attend one Saturday, make sure to go! I love supporting local business when I can and this is a great opportunity to do so. They also have a lot of food vendors, making a great lunch spot. A day in Charleston is always a day well spent.
