Christmas Past

For me, Christmas is all about family, friends, and being around those you love. It is truly my favorite time of the year. Having sisters I was close in age with and loved spending time with meant that Christmas was filled with wonderful memories we can all share together. We don’t remember every present, but do remember waking up early, wanting to be the first one up, and the late night chats about how excited we were for Santa's arrival. Savannah and I would get really quiet and listen for the sound of reindeer hooves on the roof. Memories I will always cherish. Here are some pictures from our past Christmases!

For me, this time of year is about giving and spending quality time with the people that mean the most to you. It is the best feeling when you give a gift to someone and they get a huge smile on their face. Enjoying the precious gift of time with loved ones and creating memories that will stay with you forever is the best gift of all.
I truly hope all of you have a terrific Christmas! Take a moment and look around at all the beautiful blessings in your life. Relax, stay in your pajamas, and have a joyful day with those you are spending it with.
To everyone who has taken the time to read my blog and followed it, thank you so very much! I get nervous and a little scared with every post, so I really appreciate the support!

Ashleigh Marina at the Plaza

One of my favorite Christmas movies is Eloise at Christmastime. I use to love to imagining what it would be like to live the Plaza hotel and to have that fabulous pink Christmas tree. When we were in New York recently, we went to visit the Plaza. The Christmas decorations were stunning! The Eloise section was, of course, my favorite!

Even Santa loves the Plaza!

Christmas at Tiffany's

“What I’ve found does the most good is just to get into a taxi and go to Tiffany’s. It calms me down right away, the quiteness and the proud look of it; nothing very bad could happen to you there”         - Breakfast at Tiffany's

That is one of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite movies. Today was the first time I've been to Tiffany's and it was an amazing experience. I am on a little vacation with my mom for the weekend to visit my sister in the big apple! We have had a pretty great trip so far. Being able to go to Tiffany's during our trip was such a treat, especially at Christmastime. Aside from the perfectly perfect jewelry, Tiffany's also had the most beautiful Christmas decor. I now want to have a Christmas tree covered in little blue boxes and silver ornaments! I can most definitely see how Holly Golightly was able to find refuge at Tiffany's!

Christmas Village

This year, I had my mind set on getting an advent calendar for the month of December. I have seen so many darling ones online, but I could not find one in a store anywhere! Finally, I found some in Anthropologie! They did not have a chocolate one like I initially wanted, but I settled for this adorable Christmas Village set. Each day of December has a little box and in it a little Christmas fact or joke. I had a hard time deciding between the village and one with a cute yellow house. Since the village advent came with the facts and jokes, I went with that one! It was pretty easy to set up and I'm so happy with how it looks! I placed mine on the mantle and it makes the room feel a little more Christmassy already!
