Sunday Best- Halloween Inspiration

One of my favorite thing is dressing with a theme or holiday in mind. I have a ton of Christmas sweaters and pajamas lined up for the month of December. Although Halloween is not my favorite holiday, I still like to incorporate orange and black into what I wear around this time of year. So this Sunday, I wore my orange J Crew sweater with my black and white herringbone sidewalk skirt from J Crew Factory. It has been so hot lately that I couldn't wear boots, so I wore my black patent leather Tory Burch flats. I also my black purse from Forever 21.

Even though it is way too hot to be the end of October, I still enjoyed spending some time outside on a beautiful day! And spending some time with my favorite pup and my sister's horse!

Halloween Baking

This weekend, I finally got into the Halloween spirit. Halloween is not one of the favorite holidays. I am not a fan of horror movies and I hate getting scared. But I do enjoy Halloween candy, cheesy Halloween movies, and the fall season. I made some Halloween themed cupcakes for my Sunday school class. The cake, itself, is devil's food cake. I ended up going with three different icing designs.

1st- chocolate icing grave stones- I used a cute little kit from Wal-mart to make these. It came with tombstones that you could write on!
2nd- cream cheese orange swirl- not too much to this one. I used a piping bag to create a large orange swirl on these. I couldn't have Halloween cupcakes without incorporating orange somewhere!
3rd- cream cheese "mummies"- I used a piping bag with straight edged tip to get the icing design and for the eyes, I used butterscotch chips.
4th- cream cheese icing with sprinkles!- these looked like the traditional, kids Halloween party cupcakes. I just threw on any and all festive sprinkles that I could find. I also used black icing to create a spider web on one for the top of my cupcake tree.

Relaxed in Lilly

This pink Lilly Pulitzer is quickly becoming a favorite. I love the bright colors and relaxed fit. I simply paired it with a pair of Old Navy black leggings, making this the most comfortable outfit ever! It is perfect for lounging about or running errands around town. You feel totally relaxed but look put together (my favorite kind of outfit). I wore this look while enjoying an evening at home with my sweet, little dog, Kingston.

Bahama Rainbow

During the summer, I was lucky enough to go to Treasure Cay in the Bahamas! It was truly one of the most stunning places I have ever seen. I could not stop staring at the turquoise blue water and white sand beaches. The people there were also extremely kinds and friendly.
I was so inspired by all of beautiful colors I saw during my trip. The houses and shops were all lovely pastel colors. This dress is one I wore during my trip and loved! It is super flowy and perfect to throw on over a bathing suit while still looking put together. I purchased it from www.shein.com for about $15! I love the deep blue and rainbow colored tassels! I paired it with this tan/natural sun hat from Walmart! Yes, Walmart! I had been searching for the perfect sunhat for a while when I stubbled upon this one. And at about $7 cost, I could not pass it up!
